Cross Linked XLPE Roto-molded Housing and front scoop: The one-piece sealed housing utilizes the all-new Injen Twist-Lock System to securely attach the Injen SuperNano-Web Dry air filter in place which eliminates the use of unnecessary parts and provides one of the simplest installations available. The box is molded into our fully functional ram air scoop to capture the maximum amount of cool air to feed that hungry engine. The EVO8101 housing also sports the all-new Injen Clear-View badge for a cleaner more aggressive under hood appearance.
When it comes to durability, Injen's Evolution series can't be beat! Some of our competitors use an inferior HDPE linear polyethylene to mold their intakes. HDPE is cheap for manufacturing but doesn't come close to the strength and durability of XLPE polyethylene. The XLPE that Injen uses has 20 times the environmental stress crack resistance of HDPE, 10 times the molecular weight of HDPE, and 5 times the impact and tensile strength of HDPE. This filter has been uniquely designed to work with the Injen Twist-Lock System. Using our Twist-Lock technology has allowed our engineers to use the largest filter possible for this application, which increases the available air volume, resulting in added power while keeping the installation process quick and simple.
